Community Research

There are 4 parts to this section. You are you research your topic on a local level--use newspapers, websites, people you know, and even perhaps visit a location.

Part 1: Local Statistics
This section should be written in paragraph form WITH CORRECT CITATIONS. Make sure to properly cite all your research at at the end of this section and to also quote any idea that you did not generate. This section should be several paragraphs. You may also embed charts/visuals that you feel help add to the research.

Part 2: Locations
For this section, you are to research the locations of your research. Use Google Maps or images to explain where your topic takes places. Make sure to provide explanations with your images.

Part 3: Interview
Either interview someone who directly knows about your topic or, if that is not possible, find a credible interview on-line, embed it, and write a reflection describing how this better helps you understand your topic.

Part 4: On-Site Visit
Find a local resource, and go visit it. Call ahead. Ask for information (brochures, websites, etc). Have prepared questions. Explain this assignment and your purpose in going (The Soloist, misconception, understanding what is happening in our own community, roles we can take to help, etc). Present all your findings here--I expect this section to include a lot of visuals along with narrative of your experience.
